
Louisville Clay is an association of regional ceramic artists dedicated to enriching individual creativity through a supportive community of peers and to enhancing the understanding and appreciation of ceramic art.

Please send in your membership dues if you have not already done so. The email list will be amended on November 1st.
PRESIDENT’S REPORT:
A meeting of all the Board Members will take place in November. The following items have been suggested for discussion by the out-going board and will be addressed at the board meeting:
- Raising Louisville Clay dues from $25 to $30 for the 2011/2012 year. (NOTE: not this year!)
- Eliminate the potluck portion of our meetings
- Change the date for Home Thrown/Home Grown
- Only have one major workshop, one minor workshop, and our clay sale as activities
The current board has added the following as items for consideration also:
- Start a mentoring program for members
- Put together a Bourbon Bottle Show
- Have critiques of work to help improve our techniques.
A report will be sent out to the membership if and when any changes are made.

HOME THROWN/HOME GROWN: Linda Bowman with help from Janet Essenpreis and Caroline Zama
SCHOLARSHIP FUND COORDINATOR: Sharon Ramick. She would like someone to volunteer to help her so please contact her at clayhandsinky@yahoo.com
We are still looking for committee members to coordinate the following jobs:
Workshop coordinator: This would be researching potential workshop presenters, making flight and hotel reservations, picking them up at the airport, taking them to dinner (at LC expense, of course).
Videographer to archive special events: We already have a video camera and all videos can be uploaded to Vimeo to be linked to our blog or website.
MUDMOBILE:
Kentucky Mudworks will be delivering on Wed., Oct. 20th. Deadline to place orders is 3 p.m. Monday, October 18th.
